TALLINN, Dec 27, BNS – Estonia's Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur and the commander of the defense forces, Maj. Gen. Andrus Merilo, have agreed that on Friday morning the Estonian Navy will start protecting the Estlink 1 submarine cable in the Gulf of Finland with patrol vessels in order to secure energy connections between Estonia and Finland.
